| Mission |

The SCCH has a mission to enhance the research in Horticultural Sciences (pomology, olericulture, floriculture, aromatic and medicinal plants, and landscape horticulture) in order to apply the knowledge generated in teaching and extension activities in the benefit of the Colombian horticultural sector by means of conformation of interdisciplinary investigation groups, sections and work committees financed with the contributions of its members or those of different institutions with related activities. |

The vision of the SCCH is to be the leading entity in the development of the Colombian horticulture, with the capacity to interact permanently with other scientific societies and related institutions at the international level, capable of linking and integrating the different institutions, societies and producers of the national horticultural sector in order to manage resources, design and implement programs of investigation coordinated at different levels, generate knowledge and disseminate it through different strategies with an objective to reach a planned, harmonic, competitive, and sustainable development of the Colombian horticultural sector. |
